2. Enter 2 phone numbers, each located anywhere in the World.

FORMAT FOR US PHONE NUMBERS: 001 XXX ### #### (001, "XXX" = US Area Code, then 7 digits)
FORMAT FOR St. Maarten PHONE NUMBERS: 011 5995 ### ### (011, Country Code, then 6 digits)
3. Press "CALL".
NOTE: The 1st phone number you enter ("Your phone number") is the one that will ring immediately after you press "CALL". The "Destination" number will ring about 10 seconds later. This is fine for most calls (i.e., calls initiated from the US to SXM, or calls initiated from a computer in SXM that will connect to your SXM cell phone and US phone number).
However, if you are in St. Maarten initiating a call from your laptop to ring in your Resort room rather than on your St. Maarten cell phone, then you should put the US phone number first so the Resort phone system doesn't get a call 10 seconds before the person you want to talk with is connected into the call. The US person needs to know that if their phone rings and they are connected to a resort, they should ask for you!
4. No need to keep any computer on once the calls are initiated.

PLEASE NOTE: The BudgetSIP Provider uses only EURO dollars. All prices shown in their ratesheet are collected and used up in EUROs. As of January, 2008 the exchange rate is about US$1.50 per Euro$1.00. There also may be a Euro 50c payment transfer fee when funding your account, and perhaps a foreign exchange rate "buffer" that your credit card company or PayPal assesses.
Also, each phone to phone call initiated by internet has 2 rates charged concurrently. In this example, using the current rates, the US call and and the St. Maarten Landline call total 7.6 EURO c /min. (about US 12c /min). Also add any bank or credit card exchange fees and a Euro 5c per call connect fee. Even so, the total rate you will be charged is almost always lower than all other international phone methods with which we are familiar. In this example, still only about US13c /minute (Dutch SXM Landline) or US16c /minute (Dutch SXM cell phone).
